About 70 real estate agents and homebuilders got a preview Thursday of the Campo del Sol master-planned community, businessman Paul Foster’s 2,300-acre development in North El Paso.
The event at the Plaza Hotel was hosted by Scarborough Lane, which is developing Campo del Sol with Foster’s Franklin Mountain Communities.
“We are full-blown under construction,” Scarborough Lane CEO James Feagin said.
Phase 1 includes 338 single-family homes, and homebuilders said they have already have preorders. The homes are being built by Classic American Homes, Desert View Homes, Edward’s Homes and Tropicana Homes. Models are expected to open in the coming months.
Phase 1 also includes 321 rental homes. TerraLane Communities, a rental-home developer in Arizona and California, is expected to start construction on the first rental homes soon.
In the meantime, construction continues on the lazy river and amenity center, which is set to finish by the end of the year and open in summer 2024. It will have a Bhutanese theme, similar to UTEP.
The community will have a lifestyle director, and amenities will be maintained by a homeowner association.
