At the grand opening of Campo del Sol, El Paso businessman Paul Foster announced that 230 homes have been sold so far in the master-planned community in North El Paso.
“Campo del Sol is a community like we haven’t seen in El Paso with all these amenities,” Foster told El Paso Inc. “We started roughly two years ago. We actually opened and sold our first completed home last year. It’s all been very exciting.”
On Wednesday, the project partners, Foster’s Franklin Mountain Communities and Dallas-based Scarborough Lane Development, gathered with community leaders at the Lazy River Amenity Center for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The master-planned community is being developed on 2,200 acres off US-54, near the eastern slope of the Franklin Mountains and Painted Dunes Golf Course. It will include about 9,100 units, both for rent and for sale, as well as schools, parks and recreational land with trails.
